UNSOLVED: Javed Akhtar - East Windsor, CT

On February 28, 2007, Javed Akhtar, 32, was found in critical condition outside of his convenience store in East Windsor, Connecticut. He survived in intensive care for 10 days before succumbing to his injuries.

2 or 3 Black men were said to have left the scene in both a Black SUV and a red Ford Mustang.

Javed was a kind and caring man, who would often let patrons who could not afford their items have them anyway.

He left behind a wife and children, who moved to be with her family following the death of Aktar. The convenience store was sold, and his wife, Rafia, never returned.

The state of CT has authorized a $50,000 award for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
